In recent days, Lam Dong province has been experiencing continuous heavy rain. The headquarters of Madagui traffic police officers is located against a high cliff. After regulating traffic on Bao Loc pass due to a landslide earlier, three officers returned to the station to rest and eat when the incident occurred. Authorities are mobilizing vehicles to rescue victims.

At the time of the landslide, a 45-seat passenger bus running on the pass was pushed by rocks and soil into the guardrail towards the abyss on Bao Loc pass.

At noon on July 30, Bao Loc Pass through Dai Lao Commune also had 2 landslides. Tons of soil and many large rocks from the slope of the pass poured down onto the road surface.

In another section, an uprooted tree fell on a pickup truck, and a medium-voltage power line blocked the road. Heavy rain also caused water from the mountainside to flow down, creating a rapid flow on the road surface. The remaining landslide was on the pass in Da M'ri town, Da Huoai district.

According to the Lam Dong Province Hydrometeorological Station, in recent days, due to the influence of the southwest monsoon, the locality has experienced heavy rain and thunderstorms. On July 30, in Bao Loc City, the rain lasted from morning to noon. This is believed to be the cause of the weak ground leading to the landslide.

Due to severe landslides on National Highway 20 through Bao Loc Pass and heavy flooding on National Highway 55 through Loc Nam Commune's underground sewer, traffic through the area was cut off. Lam Dong Province authorities have diverted vehicles to Provincial Road 721 through Da Teh District and Provincial Road 725 through Bao Lam District to avoid congestion.

Heavy rains also caused localized flooding in many locations in Bao Loc City, Bao Lam District, Da Huoai District... Local authorities and functional forces are assisting in evacuating people and their belongings to safety.

Recently, Lam Dong province has been hit by landslides. In the early morning of June 29, thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil from the construction site in alley 36, Hoang Hoa Tham street, ward 10, Da Lat city suddenly flooded down onto three 3-4 story houses. A worker couple sleeping in a camp were buried and died; 5 people in a trapped family were rescued by authorities.
