The FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II is a wide-angle lens covering a focal length range from 16mm to 35mm. Thanks to a new optical design that efficiently arranges XA super-spherical lens elements with highly precision-treated surfaces, the FE 16-35mm achieves high resolution with a maximum aperture of F2.8 throughout the focal range.
In addition to the G Master's beautiful wide-angle bokeh, this lens also features extremely close focusing distances throughout the focal range, with a minimum focusing distance of 0.22m and a maximum magnification of 0.32x.
Additionally, Sony's signature Nano AR Coating II suppresses flare and ghosting for clear images even when there are strong light sources in the frame. The device is 111.5mm long and weighs approximately 547g.
The FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II is equipped with the latest XD (extreme dynamic) linear motor, which is efficient at high speed operation - allowing the lens to achieve smooth AF suitable for both stills and movies, twice as fast as conventional products. Even when shooting at high frame rates where defocusing is likely to occur, the subject is still in focus with high precision.
By reducing focus breathing when shooting video compared to the previous generation, users can now achieve the best image quality without sacrificing shooting angle.
Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II lens (code name SEL1635GM2) will be sold in the Vietnamese market for 58.49 million VND.
