The Code also requires compliance with Vietnamese laws and regulations, operating rules, signs, instructions at tourist areas and attractions, and regulations of tourist service establishments; when using public transportation services; observing and complying with signs at airports, ports, and parking lots. Respecting local culture, customs, practices, religions, and beliefs.
At the same time, protect the landscape, environment and cultural and historical values in tourist areas and spots. Maintain public hygiene, security and order in public places. Support organizations and individuals operating responsible tourism activities that are friendly to the environment and society. Help and prioritize vulnerable people in society when participating in tourism activities such as the elderly, people with disabilities, children and pregnant women. Do not buy, sell or use products from wild animals and plants, species that need to be protected. Do not buy or sell counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, or prohibited goods.
In addition, the code of conduct also requires organizations and individuals participating in tourism business activities such as: Guiding tourists to comply with the laws and regulations at the destination. Behaving properly, thoughtfully, warmly, friendly, responsible, and respectfully towards tourists. Not discriminating against tourists. Being open-minded, listening to tourists' contributions and suggestions. Actively supporting tourists in case of risks or needing help.
Provide reputable, quality, and safe products, services, and goods. Provide complete and honest information about products, services, and goods. List and publicly disclose prices, services, and goods and sell at the listed prices. Be responsible to the environment and local communities in tourism business activities. Prioritize the use of environmentally friendly or locally produced materials to serve tourists.
Compete fairly and maintain reputation. Do not solicit, stalk, compete, or pressure tourists; do not collude with other organizations, individuals, or businesses to profit from tourists. Dress politely and neatly; in accordance with good customs and traditions. Do not smoke or chew gum while serving tourists.
