Mr. Nguyen Quang Thinh (in Nui Thanh town) shared: “I unfortunately had an accident, when I was being treated at the hospital, I needed a lot of blood for treatment, then the provincial police officers volunteered to donate blood so that I had enough blood for timely emergency treatment. Now I have recovered and am grateful for this humane gesture.”
Mr. Bui Viet Nhan (family of a patient in An My ward, Tam Ky city) shared that his wife had hemolytic anemia, and while she was being treated at Quang Nam General Hospital, the hospital's live blood bank ran out. When the news that his wife urgently needed blood for treatment was received, officers and soldiers of Quang Nam Provincial Police promptly showed up to donate blood.
Currently, the Quang Nam Provincial Police Live Blood Bank Club has more than 100 officers and soldiers participating with many blood types. The club maintains contact and coordinates activities on the Zalo group to update and grasp information sources from medical facilities in the area, thereby proactively coordinating and quickly mobilizing members to participate in blood donation.
Captain Bui Anh Duc - Head of the Youth Department (Political Work Department, Quang Nam Provincial Police) said: "We connect with medical facilities in the province through Zalo, regularly and promptly update information to support blood donation to save lives such as information on blood types needed, amount of blood needed..., thereby quickly notifying members of the live blood bank, mobilizing as quickly as possible to donate blood in time".

Most recently, at around 10:30 a.m. on April 9, 2025, the Live Blood Bank Club of Quang Nam Provincial Police received urgent information from the Department of Nephrology - Critical Care (Quang Nam General Hospital) about the case of patient Nguyen Dinh D. (born in 1954, residing in Tam Phu commune, Tam Ky city) who urgently needed blood group O platelets for emergency transfusion.
Immediately after receiving the information, the club quickly mobilized its youth union members to support. Sergeant Nguyen Quang Phu - Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department volunteered to go to the hospital and promptly donated 1 unit of platelets (500ml) to help the patient overcome the critical condition.
It is known that from the beginning of 2025 until now, 20 officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police have donated blood for emergency purposes. This meaningful action demonstrates the sense of responsibility and community of the officers and soldiers.
In addition to effectively maintaining the activities of the live blood bank club, the Provincial Police's Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee regularly coordinates with Quang Nam Provincial General Hospital and the Provincial Red Cross to organize many blood donation campaigns for officers and soldiers. Every year, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police donate about 500 units of blood.
