How is Quang Hai treated at CAHN?

Nguyen Quang Hai signed a contract with CAHN yesterday, June 23. The 26-year-old midfielder wanted to sign a two-year contract, but the club "decided" to sign a one-and-a-half-year contract. The V-League rookie team has priority in negotiating an extension when the contract between the two parties ends.

CAHN paid the entire signing bonus to Quang Hai right before signing the contract. The exact amount was not made public by both sides, but according to VnExpress 's research, it was around 10 billion VND. In addition, he also received a salary of more than 100 million VND per month - the highest among domestic players. A year ago, when Quang Hai did not renew his contract with Hanoi FC, a northern team offered him a signing bonus of 5 billion VND per year and a monthly salary of 150 million VND.

CAHN also favors not cutting a percentage of Quang Hai's advertising contracts. Thanks to that, "number 19" receives all the money from contracts related to his personal image, on the condition that he complies with the club's regulations and does not affect or conflict with the interests of the club's partners.

Quang Hai is one of the biggest stars of Vietnamese football. He won the V-League four times with Hanoi FC, two National Cups and three National Super Cups. At the national team level, he won the 2019 SEA Games gold medal, the 2018 AFF Cup and with his teammates reached the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup - Asia region.

At the end of June 2022, Quang Hai announced that he wanted a new challenge, so he did not renew his contract with Hanoi FC and moved to France to join Pau FC on a two-year contract. However, he could not adapt to the Ligue 2 environment and almost disappeared from the Pau FC first team since February 2023. Last season, Quang Hai only played 13 matches, with 268 minutes - an average of 20.6 minutes per match, scoring one goal. The last time he played for the first team was the last 10 minutes of Pau FC's 0-1 loss to Laval on February 18 in Ligue 2. After that, the 26-year-old midfielder played seven matches with 579 minutes for Pau B in National 3 - the fifth division of France.

After an unsuccessful year with Pau FC, Quang Hai sought a way back to Vietnam to play more. Receiving positive signals from CAHN Club, he asked to terminate his contract with Pau FC. On May 30, the French team let Quang Hai leave a year early without asking for compensation.

Quang Hai will be present and make his debut for CAHN Club when the team hosts Ha Tinh in round 12 of V-League this afternoon, June 24. However, he will only greet fans and will not play because he has not completed ITC and has only had one training session with the team.
