Going into details, comrade Nguyen Ho Hai reiterated the task of building Ho Chi Minh City's cultural space, in which District 1 must be the first place to achieve this goal to create a spread and approach to other districts, counties and Thu Duc City.

Building a team of professional staff
Previously, Standing Deputy Secretary of District 1 Party Committee Hoang Thi To Nga reported on the implementation of political tasks in the first quarter of 2023 and the progress and results of implementing the targets of the Resolution of the 12th District 1 Party Congress, term 2020-2025. Up to now, District 1 has implemented 35/41 set targets on schedule.

In parallel with the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, the Standing Committee of District 1 Party Committee focuses on promoting Party building, creating positive changes in the political, ideological, organizational, personnel, inspection and supervision aspects, contributing to improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party. The quality of cadres, party members, Party building and the political system are truly clean and strong.

Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity, District 1 has declared and publicized the assets and incomes of agencies and units in 2022. The Standing Committee of the District 1 Party Committee directed the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to deploy a plan to verify the assets and incomes of officials under the management of the Standing Committee of the District 1 Party Committee in 2023. Accordingly, the verification team organized a draw and verified 18 people who were required to declare at 18 units...
In the work of building the government, District 1 has developed a plan to train and foster civil servants to build a team of cadres and civil servants in the urban government apparatus in a professional, modern direction, with high professional capacity, public service skills and public service ethics.
Along with that, District 1 registered city-level solutions and initiatives and deployed 55 models, solutions and district-level initiatives for units to register in implementing the policy of encouraging and protecting dynamic and creative cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers for the common good in District 1.

In the first quarter of 2023, state budget revenue as of March 31 reached more than VND 4,943 billion (up nearly 31%, up more than 3% over the same period). District 1 continues to have many solutions to support businesses and business households in their operations. Along with that, it promotes digital transformation, develops e-commerce, and builds traditional markets that meet the criteria of commercial civilization.
District 1 also built a project to "develop the service economy of District 1", a plan to "develop the night economy in the central area" and reorganize the activities of Ben Thanh market in the direction of digital transformation associated with the development of the night economy to create momentum for socio-economic development.
