On May 30, the Northern region and the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen will have hot weather, some places will have severe heat with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places over 38 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranges from 45-60%.

The heat wave in the North is likely to last until around May 31. The heat wave in the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen is likely to last until the first days of June.

Heat hazard warning level: level 1. Forecast temperature and actual outdoor temperature may differ by 2-4 degrees Celsius, or even higher depending on surface conditions such as concrete and asphalt.

Due to the effects of hot weather combined with low humidity and southwest winds causing the foehn effect, there is a risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity and the risk of forest fires.

In addition, heat can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.

On May 29, the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions will have moderate rain, heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms with rainfall of 20-40mm, some places will have over 70mm (heavy rain will occur mainly in the afternoon and evening).

At sea, during the day and night of May 29, the area from Binh Dinh to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang, the Gulf of Thailand, the central and southern East Sea (including Truong Sa sea area), the eastern sea area of ​​the northern East Sea will have showers and strong thunderstorms; in thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind of level 7-8.

During the day and night of May 30, the sea area east of the northern and central East Sea will have strong winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9; wave height 2-4m; rough seas.

The sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and the southern East Sea (including Truong Sa sea area) from the night of May 30 will have strong winds up to level 6, gusting to level 7-8; wave height from 1.5-2.5m; rough sea.

Warning level of natural disaster risk due to strong winds at sea: level 2. All ships and other activities in the above sea areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and big waves.

Weather in the regions during the day and night of May 29: In the early morning and at night in the Northwest, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places. During the thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind; hot during the day, with some places experiencing intense heat.
