Armed forces, youth union members and people collect garbage

The "Green Sunday" campaign at the district level took place to clean the environment and treat waste on the road along Cau Hai market and Tran Dinh Tuc street, residential group 3, Phu Loc town. The program had the participation of hundreds of people including cadres, civil servants, officials, members of the Youth Union, armed forces, and local people. In addition, the Urban Management Team coordinated with local authorities, units of Phu Loc town and Loc Tri commune to handle public order and urban order along National Highway 1A passing through the two localities.

The “Green Sunday” campaign in communes and towns took place with general cleaning and garbage collection activities on roads, residential areas, markets, office premises, schools (especially localities with National Highway 1A passing through, tourist areas, industrial parks, etc.). Communes and towns also launched campaigns to deal with public order and urban order.

Phu Loc District People's Committee requested agencies, departments, unions and central agencies, border guards, and schools in the district to continue implementing "Green Sunday" activities at their units in the coming time; simultaneously organize environmental cleaning campaigns inside and outside agencies and units every Friday afternoon.

The People's Committees of communes and towns shall strengthen environmental sanitation work, organize regular general cleaning in public areas, roads, residential areas, markets, tourist areas, industrial parks, etc. to ensure proper collection and treatment of waste, and not leave black spots of waste that cause environmental pollution. Strengthen propaganda, raise public awareness about the benefits of maintaining environmental sanitation, call for the participation of people and businesses; propagate people to classify waste at source, limit the use of plastic bags, disposable plastic products and place waste at locations within the time prescribed by the locality, etc.
