Thanh Phuc Rice Pho reaches the market

Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Phuc said that, realizing the large demand from consumers, in early 2022, her family decided to invest in building a pure rice noodle production facility to supply the market. After a short period of operation, Ms. Phuc's facility registered with the Huong An town government to participate in the OCOP program with Thanh Phuc rice noodle products.

Recently, Ms. Phuc's facility has been facilitated by specialized departments of Que Son district and local authorities to attend training courses on content related to the OCOP cycle, and supported in the steps of establishing procedural records to participate in the evaluation and classification of OCOP products.

Notably, after building the factory and installing production equipment at a cost of 250 million VND, Ms. Phuc's facility was considered by the functional departments of Que Son district and the People's Committee of Huong An town for post-investment support of 125 million VND according to the province's policy mechanism.

“Thanks to its guaranteed quality and good compliance with regulatory requirements, in 2022, Thanh Phuc rice noodles were recognized by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province as meeting 3-star OCOP standards. This is a great motivation for our facility to continue investing in expanding production scale and focusing on improving product quality,” Ms. Phuc shared.

Ms. Phuc added that to ensure the source of raw materials for rice noodle production, she proactively cooperated with 7 farming households in the area to sow 50 sao of Khang Dan 18 commercial rice each crop under the method of guaranteeing output. Along with that, she also purchased rice from other local households after each harvest.

Since being recognized as meeting 3-star OCOP standards, thanks to focusing on promoting trade and promoting products, the market for Thanh Phuc rice noodles has continuously expanded. Currently, Ms. Phuc's facility has dozens of stores and agents supplying rice noodles on a medium and large scale in the provinces of Quang Nam, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, etc.

“If in 2022, on average we sold about 1.8 tons of finished rice noodles to the market every month and earned 72 million VND, now it has increased to 3 tons/month and the revenue reaches 120 million VND, of which the net profit is about 30 million VND/month” - Ms. Phuc said.
