Also attending the congress were Mr. Le Quoc Phong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Phan Van Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia, Chairman of the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee and 282 official delegates, leaders of member organizations, representatives of ethnic groups, religions, intellectuals, businesses, outstanding individuals, and experts in various fields.

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Dong Thap province attended the 10th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.

At the congress, Mr. Dinh Van Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province, said: In the past term, despite many difficulties and challenges, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province basically effectively implemented the Action Program set forth by the 9th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, the great national unity bloc in the province was consolidated and promoted, social consensus was enhanced, and a number of outstanding results were achieved in various fields.

Mr. Dinh Van Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province spoke at the Congress.

Specifically: Promote the role of local governance of the people through self-management models in residential communities, enhance the role of social classes, strongly arouse the spirit of emulation, creative labor of the people and the joint efforts of the whole community to participate in economic, cultural and social development, contributing to ensuring national defense and security.

The operation methods of the Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations have many innovations, focusing on efficiency, practicality, and closeness to the needs of all areas of social life, through the signing of a coordination agreement between the Party Delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Provincial Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee on enhancing the leadership role of Party cells in the hamlet and residential area front work committees for the period 2023 - 2027.

Promoting the role of member organizations in implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements launched by the Fatherland Front at all levels, mobilizing resources to implement projects on new rural construction, civilized urban areas (construction, repair of bridges, roads, houses, ...), social security, and prevention of Covid-19 pandemic, with a total implementation source of over 1,700 billion VND.

Improve the effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, propose to handle some long-standing and difficult-to-resolve issues, contribute to ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of the people, participate in Party building, build a clean and strong government, exploit the potential and strengths in local socio-economic development.
