The emulation cluster of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Southwest provinces includes the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 12 provinces (Kien Giang, Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Long An, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, An Giang, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau).

In 2024, based on consensus, the provinces in the Cluster elected Kien Giang as Cluster Leader and Dong Thap as Deputy Cluster Leader. The emulation cluster is directed by Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front To Thi Bich Chau; the Southern Working Committee, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is responsible for monitoring activities.

According to the report, in the first 6 months of the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces in the Cluster have made efforts to focus on implementing the work program according to the 5 Action Programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, while providing guidance at the commune and district levels and ensuring preparations for the organization of the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term.

The Front system focused on organizing the successful congresses of the Fatherland Front at commune and district levels and had many practical projects to welcome the congresses of the Fatherland Front at all levels. Coordination between the Front, member organizations and sectors was strengthened.

The position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the Cluster have been increasingly enhanced, consolidating the people's trust in the Party and the State. Thereby, it has contributed to the socio-economic development of the provinces in the Cluster.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province Vo Ngoc Thanh reported briefly on the results of the work of the Emulation Cluster Front of the Southwest provinces in the first 6 months of the year.

Notably, in the past 6 months, the provinces in the cluster have mobilized resources to carry out more than 3,420 projects (including bridge construction, rural roads, lighting projects, dredging irrigation canals... with a total value of over 640 billion VND.

The Fatherland Front of the provinces in the Cluster has mobilized the construction of over 4,260 solidarity houses; mobilized, received and organized the giving of over 1,246,000 gifts to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households; examined and treated over 83,500 people in difficult circumstances; presented nearly 312,700 health insurance cards; supported 245,690 students to study... with a total cost of over 679 billion VND.

Implementing Plan No. 715/KH-MTTW-BTT, dated April 25, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on organizing the Launching Ceremony to support the construction of Great Solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), the provinces in the Cluster have had many forms of mobilization and support of more than 12 billion VND.

At the conference, delegates discussed the highlights; new models, good practices in the first 6 months of the year. At the same time, they pointed out some difficulties, obstacles and recommendations related to the work of the front.

Speaking at the conference, Vice President To Thi Bich Chau praised the achievements and contributions of the Emulation Cluster of the Southwest provinces to the overall achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front system.

Vice President To Thi Bich Chau said that the last 6 months of the year is a period of extremely special significance for the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels in continuing to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; focusing on organizing well the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029.

Vice Chairwoman To Thi Bich Chau requested that, in addition to localities that have completed organizing the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province, the remaining localities need to focus on successfully organizing the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels. The work of selecting personnel to consult on members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term must ensure the correct structure and composition.

Continue to pay attention to, invest in and effectively implement, carefully calculate the long-term and sustainable value in implementing the Campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", and the emulation movement "Creative solidarity". Innovate the work of social supervision and criticism in a focused and key direction, select major, prominent issues directly related to people's lives to concentrate resources for synchronous, thorough and quality implementation.

In addition, Vice Chairwoman To Thi Bich Chau requested localities to continue to improve and consolidate their organizational apparatus and staff in a streamlined and efficient manner. Promote the application of information technology and digital transformation in the Fatherland Front system at all levels.

Vice President To Thi Bich Chau also noted that in the work of the Front, it is necessary to avoid bureaucratizing the work. It is necessary to be flexible, to carry out small tasks well... to gain the support of the people. From there, create a common consensus in society. In addition, effective models need to be focused on and spread.
