On May 22, at the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly passed a Resolution and electronically voted to approve the dismissal of Nguyen Phu Cuong from the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee and Tran Hong Ha from the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment - Deputy Prime Minister.
With 462/464 votes in favor, the National Assembly voted to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong from the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee.

Previously on May 15, at the 7th Central Conference (mid-term Conference), the Party Central Committee unanimously voted to let Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong resign from his position as a member of the Central Committee. On May 16, Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong submitted a resignation letter as a National Assembly Delegate.
At the meeting, the National Assembly approved the dismissal of Mr. Nguyen Phu Cuong from the position of National Assembly delegate of the 15th tenure, Dong Nai province constituency.
Also at this session, the National Assembly passed a resolution approving the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha from the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

With a total of 466/469 votes in favor, the National Assembly voted to dismiss comrade Tran Hong Ha - Deputy Prime Minister from the position of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
Previously, at the 2nd Extraordinary Session in early January 2023, the National Assembly approved the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Mr. Tran Hong Ha.
