Located on the connecting route of Nha Trang - Buon Ma Thuot tourism, Krong Pac is a place where diverse cultural colors of different regions converge and is favored by nature in many aspects. These are identified as important potentials and advantages for Krong Pac district to turn the "smokeless industry" into a key economic sector by 2030.
It is no coincidence that more than 100 years ago, the French chose the Krong Pac area (from Km18 to Km47 on Highway 26) to build coffee and tea plantations during the second colonial exploitation in the Indochina countries. This vast land has flat terrain, fertile soil, temperate climate, and a dense and evenly distributed river system. Also from these important premises, over the past 40 years, local authorities and Party committees have gradually developed key crops, bringing people's lives to develop rapidly and change more and more strongly.
From ecological and cultural advantages
With a long history of coffee development, the district currently has two national historical relics, CADA Plantation and CADA Temple (Ea Yong Commune). In addition, the district also has a provincial-level scenic spot, Dray Dang Waterfall (Ea Knuec Commune), and many advantages for tourism development such as: Ea Nhai Lake (Hoa Dong Commune), Tan An Lake (Phuoc An Town), Krong Buk Ha Lake (Krong Buk Commune), Truc Lam Tu Giac Zen Monastery (Ea Yong Commune)... This is also a cultural convergence of 35 ethnic groups with many cultural activities being preserved and promoted such as: gong performances of the Ede, Van Kieu, Xe Dang people; Then singing, Tinh lute of the Tay and Nung people; Xoe dancing, bamboo jumping of the Thai people; Bac Ninh folk songs, Bai Choi singing of the Quang people...

From the first Krong Pac Durian Festival in 2022 to the activities in response to the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023, Krong Pac district is striving to converge and spread the beauty of culture, history, nature, and people here, building and bringing the tourism brand closer to visitors from near and far.
The district’s investment call list includes many projects related to tourism and service development. Among them, the Moonlight Land Cinema Eco-tourism Project in Hoa Dong Commune has attracted investors’ interest. Dray Dang Waterfall Tourist Area, Krong Buk Ha Lake Resort and Eco-tourism Complex, Krong Pac District Trade Center… are also being actively promoted and advertised, inviting businesses to participate in investment. Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet (a tourist from Kon Tum province) came to Krong Pac for the first time during the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023 and was really impressed by the rich and long-standing agriculture in Krong Pac. The advantages of ecological agriculture and the formation and development of coffee and fruit products will be the highlights to attract tourists to Krong Pac. As for Mr. Vu Duy Tham (Ea Kar district), he was impressed with the cultural festivals, especially the Wrestling Festival in Vu Bon commune held on the occasion of the Lantern Festival every year. According to him, preserving and promoting cultural values not only improves the spiritual life of the people but also contributes to promoting the image of the friendly, gentle and hospitable people of Krong Pac.
Focus on attracting investment
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Krong Pac District Party Committee Tran Quoc Vinh said that in the period of 2015 - 2020, the number of tourists to Krong Pac increased by an average of more than 2% per year, and total revenue from tourists increased by an average of more than 5% per year. The district currently has 47 accommodation establishments, including 1 hotel certified as 1 star. The transport infrastructure system to relic sites and tourist attractions has been invested and upgraded to ensure convenient traffic. However, the growth rate as well as investment resources for tourism are still not commensurate with the potential, so the district is focusing on solutions to build, propose mechanisms and policies to support tourism development, promote socialization in mobilizing resources, economic sectors to participate in investing in infrastructure - technology, diversify tourism products and promote linkages to exploit, promote, and form tours and tourist routes inside and outside the province.

Resolution on Tourism Development for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, the Krong Pac District Party Committee clearly defines the goal that by 2025, Krong Pac district will welcome over 150,000 visitors with over 100,000 overnight guests. Total revenue from tourists will reach over 30 billion VND in 2025 and 50 billion VND in 2030. Along with the development of the tourism - service sector, the number of workers in this industry will also increase to 2,000 workers in 2025 and strive to reach over 3,500 workers in 2030. The district will also call for investment in developing infrastructure from 2-3 tourist areas and spots and put them into effective operation, building two agricultural tourism models combined with experiences in orchards and agricultural farms associated with the consumption of OCP products (One Commune One Product Program). These are important factors promoting the tourism industry of Krong Pac district to develop more and more professionally in the direction of green, identity and high quality.
