In addition, many programs, topics and scientific research projects have been implemented to preserve and develop biodiversity of flora and fauna. Notably, the provincial-level scientific research topic "Investigation and assessment of the current status and proposal of measures for conservation, exploitation and sustainable development of Shan Tuyet tea in Xuan Son National Park, Phu Tho province" has been proposed. The provincial-level science and technology project in 2025 "Conservation and development of some valuable medicinal plants in Xuan Son National Park, Phu Tho province" has been proposed.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Cuong - Director of Xuan Son National Park said: "Developing tourism in Xuan Son National Park is a reasonable trend, but in the process of exploiting resources to serve tourism, it is necessary to put conservation interests above economic interests. Tourism development must go hand in hand with protecting the landscape, environment and developing forests, especially upstream forests and primary forests. It is necessary to focus on protecting clean water sources; collecting and treating waste, building more public toilets, and reasonably calculating the carrying capacity of the National Park towards sustainable development... Doing this depends not only on the authorities and managers but also on the active cooperation of the people and tourists".
To achieve sustainable development, forest management solutions need to continue to be implemented synchronously, from strictly controlling tourism activities, strengthening resource monitoring, to raising awareness among people and tourists. At the same time, there needs to be more economic support policies for buffer zone communities, helping people both improve their livelihoods and become more involved in forest protection.
Most importantly, every visitor to Xuan Son should be aware that they are part of the conservation journey. Respecting nature and preserving a clean and beautiful environment not only helps protect ecological values but also creates meaningful and sustainable experiences. Only when conservation interests are placed above economic interests can Xuan Son be preserved as a green gem in the middle of the forest and people will receive the values of sustainability.
