On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2024), on November 5, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics attended the National Great Unity Day at Residential Group 11, Kim Long Ward (Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province).
At the festival, the people of Residential Group 11 (Kim Long Ward) reviewed the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and evaluated 1 year of implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". In recent years, the people of Residential Group 11 have actively participated in economic development, helped each other reduce poverty, and encouraged legitimate enrichment. Promoting the spirit of solidarity, helping each other in times of hardship and difficulty, the people joined hands to build a happy life, contributing to building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, participating in Party building, building a strong local government...
Presenting flowers and gifts to congratulate Residential Group 11, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang highly appreciated and congratulated the important achievements in socio-economic development in Residential Group 11 in particular and Thua Thien Hue province in general. At the same time, he emphasized that the Great Unity Day is an initiative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, which has been continuously implemented for many years and has become a beautiful tradition that has been responded and supported by the people. Localities do not just organize a simple holiday but organize it with practical actions closely related to the people's lives.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that the authorities at all levels of Thua Thien Hue province need to consider socio-economic development as the center of all activities, especially the livelihood of the people; do better in preserving and promoting the values of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
The province builds a peaceful and happy environment; develops cultural tourism associated with a green, clean, beautiful and ecological environment; ensures social order and safety, and strives at the highest level to build a society free of social evils in the spirit of "using beauty to eliminate ugliness". Each person, family, clan, and residential group needs to promote the spirit of solidarity, self-awareness, and responsibility to join hands with the government to build and develop their homeland. In addition, the locality focuses on Party building and the political system; actively supports the people by building mechanisms, policies, and regulations that are easy to understand, easy to do, easy to remember, and easy to implement; and strengthens propaganda so that the Party's policies and the State's laws come into life.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang said that in the near future, when the Central Government issues a policy and the National Assembly issues a resolution to establish a centrally-run city, it will pose many challenges but also great opportunities. When becoming a centrally-run city, the task of building and developing Hue City is first and foremost the people's, and at the same time, the Central Government will allocate many resources in the direction of "Hue for the whole country, the whole country for Hue". Provincial leaders and Propaganda Departments at all levels must understand and thoroughly convey to each citizen to further promote the spirit of solidarity to create a new breakthrough, accelerate to the finish line with a modern centrally-run city, with identity and preserving cultural values.
At the ceremony, Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang presented 600 million VND from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics to support Thua Thien Hue province in building Great Solidarity houses and overcoming storm No. 6; presented 50 gifts to policy families, poor households and awarded scholarships to studious students.
