At the police station, Mr. TVH (owner of a business on Tran Nhat Duat Street) admitted that while selling auto parts, when a customer asked to make a license plate, he would accept it for 150,000 VND/piece. After that, Mr. H. went online to find someone to make a fake license plate, placing an order for 100,000 VND/piece.

To prevent this situation, Hoan Kiem District Police plan to increase inspection and handling of cases of buying and selling fake license plates. The district police also advise people not to use fake license plates. In case of lost, dropped or damaged license plates, people need to go to the competent authorities to reissue according to regulations.

In January, a working group of the Department's professional units coordinated with the Hoan Kiem District Police force to conduct an administrative inspection at house number 46, Tran Nhat Duat Street, Dong Xuan Ward (Hoan Kiem District), discovering many tools and dozens of fake license plates.

The seized exhibits include: a press machine to produce fake license plates, a double-sided stamp printed with police logo, nearly 30 car and motorbike license plates, and more than 20 aluminum plates.

Based on initial information, the shop owner, Dao Gia T, born in 1964, residing in Dong Da district (Hanoi), confessed to buying a press to produce fake license plates and many other tools from a stranger for 7 million VND, then produced fake car and motorbike license plates himself.

T sold each fake motorbike license plate for about 150,000 VND, and the car license plate for about 400,000 VND. The working group drew up a record and seized related evidence to continue the investigation.
