In recent years, our Party and State have paid great attention to the work of mobilizing and encouraging people to participate in voluntary blood donation. Therefore, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 43 dated April 7, 2000 on mobilizing and encouraging people to donate blood voluntarily and took April 7 every year as the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day.

In 2025, Lam Ha launched a campaign to respond to the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day with the target of receiving 350 units of blood. The district has affirmed its pioneering role in the voluntary blood donation movement, making an important contribution to emergency care and patient treatment in the province.

In 2024, thanks to the active response of cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, youth and the general public, Lam Ha district mobilized nearly 2,000 people to register to donate blood, receiving over 1,300 units, far exceeding the set target. This success is a clear demonstration of the spirit of humanity, solidarity and community responsibility of Lam Ha people.

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan respectfully acknowledged and commended the spirit of active blood donation of the people of Lam Ha district. At the same time, he affirmed that in recent times, the Voluntary Blood Donation Movement of Lam Dong province has had many improvements, increasingly spreading widely in the community. In 2024, the whole province has maintained regular blood donation campaigns and received nearly 17,000 units of blood. This result clearly reflects the attention and drastic direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels; the effective coordination of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation at all levels, educational institutions, sectors and organizations; along with the active response of the people in the area.

The movement has been strongly promoting the spirit of humanity, sharing and community responsibility of Lam Dong people, becoming a humanitarian activity with widespread influence in society.

In the coming time, with the increasing demand for quantity and quality of blood for medical treatment, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Steering Committees of districts, cities, universities, agencies and units to further promote the Voluntary Blood Donation Movement among the People, do a good job of propaganda, mobilization, honoring and rewarding. From there, continue to implement the regime of supporting blood donors in accordance with regulations, contributing to ensuring blood sources for emergency and medical treatment, helping the provincial health sector to be more proactive in taking care of people's health.
