Striving to have 2 more districts meeting new rural standards in 2025

On February 11, 2025, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 23/KH-UBND to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in 2025 with many important goals.

Accordingly, in 2025, the whole province strives to have 02 more districts, 21 communes and 56 mountainous villages/hamlets meeting new rural standards; 02 districts and 49 communes meeting advanced new rural standards; 14 communes and 30 villages/hamlets meeting model new rural standards.

To achieve these goals, the total estimated capital for the Program in 2025 is VND 8,071,347 billion. Of which, the direct state budget for the Program accounts for 50.42%, with VND 4,069,342 billion, including the central budget of VND 638,066 billion, the provincial budget of VND 175,38 billion and the local budget (district, commune) of VND 3,255,896 billion. The remainder is mobilized from combined capital sources, credit, enterprises and communities.

Regarding OCOP product development, the province aims to have 160 more products, including 3 products meeting 5-star standards, 20 4-star products and 137 3-star products. This is one of the important contents to promote rural economic development and increase people's income.

To ensure effective implementation of the plan, the province will focus on key tasks and solutions such as: Strengthening leadership and direction; promoting propaganda and raising awareness; developing production and increasing people's income; mobilizing and effectively using resources. In particular, the province focuses on developing agriculture in the direction of modernity, high added value and adaptation to climate change.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to synchronously deploy 11 components of the Program and 06 key thematic Programs, focusing on completing the basic infrastructure system, developing agricultural production, protecting the environment, developing education, healthcare and grassroots culture.
