In 2023, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development carried out over 376 scientific research topics and projects with a total value of more than 577.8 billion VND, contributing to the development of agriculture, fisheries and irrigation in the South.
On January 10, the Party Committee of the grassroots bloc of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a conference to review Party building work in 2023 and deploy the work program for 2024.
Attending and speaking at the conference, comrade Duong Ngoc Hai, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, commented that 2023 is an extremely difficult year for Ho Chi Minh City, but the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the bloc have made efforts to lead and direct Party organizations, Party members, and workers to successfully complete political tasks and Party building work.
Emphasizing the significance of 2024 in implementing the goals of the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, he requested the Party Committee of the bloc to focus on leading, directing the review and concretization of effective implementation solutions, speeding up the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress of the bloc and 15 targets set for 2024. In particular, it is necessary to associate with the leadership of implementing the 2024 theme of Ho Chi Minh City on "Determination to effectively implement digital transformation and Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly", paying attention to the leadership of affiliated units in each field to ensure the successful completion of each unit's political tasks.
He also noted that in building annual, quarterly and monthly work programs, it is necessary to clearly assign tasks and completion times for inspection, evaluation and implementation. At the same time, it is necessary to continue to strengthen the work of grasping the thoughts of cadres and civil servants of specialized Party agencies and mass organizations, creating peace of mind and stability in the work of cadres; coordinate with the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to have a plan to arrange grassroots party organizations in line with the actual situation.
According to the report, in 2023, the Party Committee of the grassroots block of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will focus on leading and directing the grassroots Party Committees and Party cells to closely follow the goals and work programs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the industry, the direct superior management unit and Ho Chi Minh City to deploy and implement assigned tasks. Most of the political tasks and targets assigned by the unit and the Ministry were basically completed, achieved and exceeded the set plan.
Accordingly, the Party Committee of the bloc has implemented over 376 scientific research topics and projects with a total value of over VND 577.8 billion, contributing to the development of agriculture, aquaculture and irrigation in the South. It has enrolled and is training and fostering 16,638 students (143.43% of the target), and enrolled 11 postgraduate students to train highly qualified human resources. Production and business units strive to achieve revenue of over VND 825 billion (100.3% of the target), the average income of workers in the bloc reaches VND 9.5 million/person/month (higher than in 2022).
Regarding Party building work, the Party Committee's work of developing new Party members exceeded the planned target (51/40 Party members, reaching 127.5%); there were many solutions to direct and guide the improvement of the quality of Party cell activities at the grassroots level; focusing on improving the quality of inspection, supervision and Party discipline enforcement.
On this occasion, the conference commended 25 party members who had excellently completed their tasks for 5 consecutive years 2019-2023.
