"It's sad that he has to hire people to come to his birthday party," host Jimmy Kimmel joked after hearing how much money Pamela Anderson made from Donald Trump's birthday.
The Last Showgirl star appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on January 31 to talk about her critically acclaimed film, before Kimmel brought up Donald Trump's desire to make Canada the 51st state of the United States.
"When you're a Playboy model, they'll pay you $500 a day to go anywhere. So I was hired at that time to go to birthday parties," Anderson recalled.
She confirmed the event took place in 2005 and said Mr Trump "was with his wife but I honestly didn't know who it was at the time", adding that "he was nothing special".
During the conversation, Anderson and Kimmel also discussed her critically acclaimed film The Last Showgirl .
Kimmel showed a clip of Anderson as Shelly Gardner screaming at Mary-Anne (played by Brenda Song). Anderson covered her face as the clip played.
“I was a little nervous, but the first time I saw it was at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival, and it was so exciting,” she recalled. “Did you feel comfortable afterward?” Kimmel asked.
"I feel so happy, I feel like I've become Shelly," the actress said.
Anderson's role has been called a "return to the silver screen," leading Kimmel to wonder if the film will "renew" her as an actress.
Pamela Anderson is Canadian and lives in the small town of Ladysmith, British Columbia. In addition to acting and modeling, she is also the author of several cookbooks, including Love You: Recipes from the Heart (2024). She plans to host her own cooking show Pamela's Cooking with Love in late 2025. Pamela Anderson seems to be unhappy with Donald Trump's idea of annexing Canada to the United States.
