Donald Trump sat on a garbage truck to answer reporters on October 30, a day after President Joe Biden made controversial remarks referring to Trump supporters as 'trash'.

“What do you think of my garbage truck? It’s a tribute to Kamala and Joe Biden,” Trump told reporters on October 30, The Hill reported, referring to President Biden’s recent remarks.

The garbage truck followed former US President Donald Trump's motorcade to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to attend a rally on October 30. In addition, Mr. Trump also wore a reflective vest worn by garbage collectors.

Mr. Trump sat on a garbage truck and answered the press before participating in a campaign in Wisconsin on October 30.

Earlier on October 29, Mr. Biden caused a backlash when he commented on a speech by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe at a Donald Trump rally in New York last week, when Mr. Hinchcliffe jokingly criticized the US territory of Puerto Rico as a “trash island.”

“The only garbage I see floating around out there are his supporters. His disregard for Latinos is unconscionable and un-American,” Biden said.

Mr. Trump and the Republican Party quickly used the incumbent president's statements to attack Mr. Biden and Ms. Kamala Harris's campaign.

“I have to say, 250 million Americans are not trash,” Mr. Trump said at a rally in Wisconsin on October 30.

US Vice President Kamala Harris has clarified her stance on Mr Biden's controversial remarks. “I completely disagree with any criticism of others based on who they voted for.

There are just a few days left until the official US presidential election on November 5. So far, more than 57 million people have voted, with more than 30 million people voting early and about 27 million mail-in ballots, according to statistics from the University of Florida.
