Accordingly, at the 16th session, the People's Council of Tien Giang province, term X, passed the Resolutions to establish the Department of Finance on the basis of merging the Department of Finance and the Department of Planning and Investment; the Department of Science and Technology on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology; the Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs; the Department of Construction on the basis of merging the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction; the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of merging the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. The Resolutions take effect from March 1, 2025.
