On the afternoon of February 2, People's Artist Le Thuy and some close friends organized a Tet gift giving ceremony for poor artists and a meeting with artists who had worked with her on the stage of the Kim Chung Opera Troupe.
People's Artist Le Thuy is busy giving charity gifts at the end of the year.
She said doing charity work at the end of the year is a joy, an opportunity to support and share with families in difficult circumstances to have a full meal during the 3 days of Tet.
Previously, at Hoa Binh Theater (District 10, Ho Chi Minh City), she, People's Artist Minh Vuong, and journalist Tran Dai Phu organized a Tet gift giving ceremony for stage artists and workers in various art fields.

"I try to make as many charity trips and reunions with colleagues as possible, partly because I understand the economic difficulties of the people, and partly because I want to contribute to repaying the audience who have loved me throughout my decades of artistic endeavors," People's Artist Le Thuy said emotionally.

On January 30, she and her friends went to Vinh Long to hand-deliver 600 gifts to poor people affected by Agent Orange in Thoi Hoa commune (Tra On district) and Song Phu commune (Tam Binh district). "Vinh Long is my hometown, so every year I arrange to visit my family and give Tet gifts to the poor. Each gift includes rice, candy, cash... worth about 400,000 VND" - People's Artist Le Thuy confided.
In addition to giving gifts, People's Artist Le Thuy also spontaneously gave people some new and traditional songs such as: "Journey on the Alluvial Land" and "Life is Impermanent". People's Artist Le Thuy said that after the Tet gift giving ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, she also organized another charity trip in Tien Giang and Kien Giang.
