In recent days, the temperature in Hanoi has dropped to a low of only 13-17 degrees Celsius, along with continuous drizzle. In the cold weather, farmers in communes such as Yen Son, Tan Phu, Thach Than... in Quoc Oai district (Hanoi) still take advantage of the time to go to the fields to sow the spring crop.

To keep warm, farmers wear raincoats when they go to the fields to plant.

Ms. Pham Thi Thao (Yen Son, Quoc Oai) said that from 5 am, she and her family members went to the field to plant rice. "My family has 4 sao, the weather is cold but we still have to work to make it on time. I have been familiar with farming since I was a child."

To have healthy rice plants, farmers need to pay close attention during the rice planting process.

In all the fields in Quoc Oai district (Hanoi), it is easy to see the image of farmers enthusiastically going to the fields to sow spring rice, despite the cold wind and drizzle.

Plows are used by farmers to level the fields, preparing them for rice planting.

People spread young rice seedlings evenly across the field before planting.

"Farming life has been the same for many years, every season we go planting, rain or shine, the farm work still follows a natural cycle. Now with machines, we have less trouble than before, helping us save time and effort," Ms. Hoa shared.

Farmers are struggling to plant rice.

After many hours of continuous work, farmers are also tired and wipe their sweat despite the cold weather.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan was covered in mud after a morning of planting rice. She said she was from another district and came to Quoc Oai to plant rice for hire. "My morning job is 500,000 VND. Although it is hard work, I have enough money to take care of my family and make ends meet. I have been working continuously for nearly a week now."

Farmers take the opportunity to drink water and rest after many hours of continuous work.

After just a few hours, the green color of rice covered all the planted fields.

At around 11 o'clock, many farmers return home to prepare lunch, rest, and then return to work in the afternoon.
