Happy School is a UNESCO project launched in 2014 and has been widely implemented in all schools across the country over the years.

The aim of this project is to promote happiness, comprehensive development of learners, with learners as the center. Accordingly, schools are the cradles that respect and nurture talents, promote strengths and diversify learning outcomes of each student.

A happy school is a place where the love between teachers and students, between students, between teachers is respected and nurtured every day. In teaching activities, not only the knowledge and skills that students lack, but also support and create conditions for children to maximize their potential, love and passion for learning. A happy school also aims at a learning environment that opens up opportunities for training, improving physical fitness, experiencing a positive, comfortable, democratic, progressive atmosphere, creating conditions for students to explore. In a happy school, there is no school violence, unethical behavior, no behavior that insults the dignity, honor, or body of teachers and students.

Building a happy school is an important goal to create a positive learning environment where students, teachers and staff feel satisfied and engaged. There are many solutions to building a happy school, but in general, there are 3 main groups of solutions.

The first group is to build a suitable physical environment. That is to create a friendly learning environment, such as designing an active learning space, to ensure that classrooms, common areas and playgrounds are designed, arranged and organized to be truly safe and create a comfortable and friendly feeling for students... The school tries to provide and create conditions in terms of facilities and equipment so that students have the opportunity to participate in sports and art activities...

The second group is to build a cultural, civilized, democratic and progressive school environment. It is to encourage open communication to create opportunities for students and teachers to communicate democratically and sincerely, such as through regular activities, collective activities, sharing sessions, conversations, competitions... It is to organize group activities, especially in extracurricular activities, to help students and teachers develop team spirit and mutual understanding. It is to respect diversity, in which it encourages respect and acceptance of differences between students and teachers. It is to ensure fairness so that all students and teachers are treated equally.

The third group is to build a humane and humane environment. That is to build the school into a community that is connected, loving, companionate, sharing, and helping each other, in the spirit of "leaving no one behind". That is to promote encouragement and praise for the efforts and achievements of students and teachers, especially to build reward solutions to motivate and encourage. That is to incorporate into the curriculum lessons on emotional management, communication skills, and conflict resolution skills, thereby helping students and teachers understand and manage their emotions effectively...

By creating a safe school environment, a friendly learning environment, building good relationships, encouraging participation from all members, ensuring fairness..., schools can become a place where students and teachers both feel happy and attached!
