Efforts to develop union members

Recently, Ms. Tran Thi Hong Vy and 199 employees of PNS CHUN One Member Co., Ltd. (VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park) were admitted to the trade union. This is also the occasion for the company to establish a grassroots trade union. Ms. Vy shared, "I used to participate in a trade union at a company, so I understand the rights and practical benefits of union members. After working at PNS CHUN One Member Co., Ltd., I continued to participate in the trade union to be protected and cared for. I will also improve my responsibility in performing my duties and competing in labor for the development of the company."

Chairwoman of the Trade Union of PNS CHUN One Member Co., Ltd. Tran Thi Ngoc Loan said that the establishment of the Trade Union is an important milestone, not only connecting employers and employees, but also a channel to grasp the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of union members, to promptly propose to the company's management. From there, it contributes to creating a harmonious production relationship in the enterprise.

In 2024, the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Trade Union will develop over 15,700 union members, reaching 189% of the target; establish 5 grassroots unions, reaching 100% of the target. In the first quarter of 2025, the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Trade Union will develop nearly 1,400 union members, establish 2 grassroots unions, bringing the total number of grassroots unions to 83 units, with 55,600 union members.

With the theme of trade union activities in 2025 being: "Focus on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", the Trade Union of Dung Quat Economic Zone and the provincial industrial parks focuses on a number of solutions to continue to achieve high efficiency in establishing grassroots trade unions, developing union members in enterprises; directing grassroots trade unions to regularly monitor and detect positive factors in trade union activities to foster, help, and introduce outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission. According to Chairman of the Trade Union of Dung Quat Economic Zone and the provincial industrial parks Pham Thai Duong, along with the task of developing union members, trade union organizations must focus on protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests, and taking care of the lives of workers. Grassroots trade unions need to coordinate with heads of agencies, units, and business owners to organize conferences for civil servants and conferences for workers; Amending, supplementing, and adjusting higher benefits for employees in collective labor agreements... Along with that, promoting propaganda and mobilization work so that employers understand the role of trade unions in enterprises. Regularly organizing training on trade union work for trade union officials, so that after establishment, grassroots trade unions can operate and affirm their position and role.

“Currently, many enterprises choose Quang Ngai to invest and do business, which has positively impacted the province's economic and social development, attracting a large labor force to work. This is an opportunity, but also a challenge, requiring trade unions at all levels in the province in general, Dung Quat Economic Zone Trade Union and the province's industrial parks in particular, union members and workers to continue to make efforts and unite to fulfill the assigned tasks, contributing to building an increasingly strong trade union organization,” Mr. Duong affirmed.
