Recognizing Vietnam Post's efforts to innovate and improve service quality in recent times, Deputy Ministers of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long and Bui Hoang Phuong believe that 2025 will be a prosperous year, creating momentum for businesses to grow strongly in the next phase.
On February 3, the first working day after the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, Deputy Ministers of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long and Bui Hoang Phuong visited and wished a Happy New Year to Vietnam Post Corporation.
Talking with key staff of Vietnam Post on the first day of the new year, Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long and Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong highly appreciated the efforts to innovate, improve service quality and carry out the mission for the community of Vietnam Post, and believed that 2025 will be a prosperous year, reaping success, thereby creating momentum for the business to grow strongly in the next period.
According to Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long, in recent years, Vietnam Post has made continuous efforts to change the basic foundations. Specifically, it has gradually improved the quality of intra-provincial delivery, and partly innovated the direct sales force. These are good signals of a fundamental nature, creating momentum for the business to flourish.
“I believe that Vietnam Post will be successful because the Corporation has a strategy and determination, the internal team is very united and cohesive, and everyone recognizes their own responsibility,” Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long shared.
Expressing the hope that the key staff of Vietnam Post will continue to stick together, improve themselves, and overcome obstacles together to create momentum for growth for the unit in the next phase, Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long also suggested: When encountering difficulties or being constrained by policies and mechanisms, Vietnam Post needs to report immediately to promptly resolve them during the operation process.
Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong commented: In recent times, Vietnam Post has taken the lead in removing institutional "bottlenecks" in the postal sector.
Requiring Vietnam Post to continue promoting its pioneering spirit in removing institutional "bottlenecks" in the postal sector, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong analyzed that Vietnam Post has many advantages, including the advantage of being a unit under the Ministry of Information and Communications - the state management agency of the postal sector, so the corporation needs to actively propose policies and mechanisms to further promote the development of the Vietnam Postal sector.
According to the report of the Ministry of Information and Communications, during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday, the circulation of letters, packages, and goods, serving the needs of people and businesses as well as safety and security in providing postal services have been ensured.
For Vietnam Post alone, during the peak service period before the Lunar New Year 2025, the company has flexibly deployed plans, focusing on exploiting, transporting, circulating and safely delivering millions of postal items before Tet.
Specifically, from January 25 to February 1, i.e. December 26 to the 4th day of Tet, the volume of goods and postal items transported reached 1,051 tons, an increase of 45% over the same period last year; nearly 884,000 Tet newspapers were successfully transported, exploited and published.
During the 2025 Lunar New Year, the banking and financial services group also increased sharply, with an average of more than 1,000 transactions per day, and the total amount of money received and paid daily reached nearly 900 billion VND, an increase of 12.5% over the same period last year. The balance of the Postal Savings service of the entire network during the Tet holiday reached more than 84,900 billion VND, an increase of more than 1,135 billion VND compared to the end of 2024.
In parallel with the basic completion of pension and social insurance allowance payments, preferential allowances for meritorious people and Tet gifts for policy families in January and February 2025, Vietnam Post has deployed more than 3,000 points of sale at post offices and commune cultural post offices. This is to meet people's demand for Tet goods.
In particular, Vietnam Post has coordinated with the Provincial and Municipal Labor Federations to organize booths and participate in "Union Tet Market" activities on both online and in-person platforms locally.
Realizing that the unit is entering a new phase with extremely urgent requirements and need for many breakthroughs, General Director of Vietnam Post Chu Quang Hao said: In the coming time, the entire network must join hands, be unanimous, and devote all its efforts to effectively implement the proposed strategic directions.
“We have accelerated and acted decisively from the first day and month, with the determination to complete the 25% growth target in 2025, creating the premise to increase income and make achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Postal sector,” said Mr. Chu Quang Hao.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Head of the Board of Members of Vietnam Post, said: Right from the first morning back to work after the Lunar New Year holiday, the entire network has urgently "started working" to implement business scenarios. The leaders of the corporation have thoroughly instructed and required all officers, employees and workers to seriously perform their work effectively, with the highest quality and spirit.
