Joy on both sides of the border

Putting aside their daily work, many people in Ban Vuoc commune and neighboring areas came to witness the groundbreaking ceremony of Ban Vuoc - Ba Sai bridge on the morning of March 31. Joy and excitement were evident on everyone's faces, because this project has been the long-awaited project of the people for many years. When the bridge is completed, it will facilitate trade and commerce, opening up more directions for economic development for border residents.

Mr. Vang Van Phu in village 3, Ban Vuoc commune, Bat Xat district shared: "With this bridge, Vietnamese people's trade with China will be much more convenient and developed. I and all the people of Ban Vuoc, Bat Xat really hope to have this bridge as soon as possible for convenient travel and trade."

Mr. Phan A Trac, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ban Vuoc Commune, Bat Xat District, also said: "The completion of the bridge will create a new look for the locality; create new jobs for the people, and possibly develop some more types of services, trade, and tourism."

People in Ban Vuoc witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony of the bridge they have long awaited.

The Kim Thanh - Ban Vuoc area is planned to be 2,500 hectares, the province is accelerating the construction of traffic infrastructure, clean land to attract investment in the logistics and industrial sectors. Lao Cai will build a smart border gate, reduce logistics costs, to help optimize the supply chain and facilitate the circulation of goods across the Vietnam - China border. When put into operation, the Ban Vuoc - Ba Sai bridge project is expected to promote e-commerce, exhibitions, enhance customs cooperation, and expand the export of goods between the two sides of the border.

It can be affirmed that the completion of the bridge will contribute to helping Lao Cai realize its goal of being the "growth pole" of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, an important "bridge" connecting Vietnam, ASEAN countries with the Southwest region of China; contributing to promoting socio-economic development between Lao Cai and Yunnan provinces as well as between Vietnam and China; bringing Lao Cai and the whole country into a new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.

The completion of Ban Vuoc - Ba Sai Bridge will help facilitate trade and commerce.

According to the plan, the Ban Vuoc - Ba Sai bridge project will take 18 months to complete from the commencement date. However, given its importance, both sides are determined to put the bridge into operation before June 30, 2026.
