Cases that may be suspended from the HCM City National University's competency assessment exam

On the morning of March 30, candidates will take the first round of the 2025 capacity assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University. This is also the exam with the largest number of registered candidates ever, with more than 128,000 students.

In addition to reminding candidates to be present at the examination room at the specified time, bring the original exam notice (self-printed on the system) and the original ID card/CCCD/passport, the examination council notes cases that may be handled for violating regulations that candidates often ignore and do not find out in advance.

According to regulations, candidates will be reprimanded if they commit a mistake once by looking at or exchanging papers with another candidate; they will be warned if they commit one of the following violations: having been reprimanded once but continuing to violate the regulations at the reprimand level, exchanging papers or scratch paper with another candidate, copying another candidate's papers or letting another candidate copy their papers.

Cases where candidates are suspended from the exam include:

- Having been warned once but continuing to violate regulations at the level of reprimand or warning.

- Bringing illegal items into the examination room (scratch paper, test papers, carbon paper, erasers, documents, invisible pens, weapons, explosives, flammable substances, beer, alcohol, technical means of transmitting and receiving information, information storage devices, other items that can be used to cheat during the test taking and grading process).

- Taking the exam paper out of the exam room or receiving the solution from outside into the exam room.

- Write or draw on your exam paper content that is not related to the exam.

- Having actions of fighting, threatening responsible officers during the exam or threatening other candidates.

The examination council emphasized: "When entering the examination room, if candidates still bring documents or items that are not allowed to be brought as mentioned above, even if they have not used them, they will be suspended from the exam. For each violation, depending on the level, 25-50% of the total exam score will be deducted. Candidates who are suspended from the exam will receive a score of 0 and will not be allowed to use the exam results to register for admission to universities and colleges."

The examination council will cancel the exam results of candidates who allow others to take the exam or take the exam for others in any form; correct or add to the exam after the exam time has ended; use other people's exams to submit; cause disturbance or sabotage the exam; assault people participating in the exam organization or other candidates.
