On the morning of February 10 (the first day of Tet), the Department of Tourism coordinated with Da Nang International Airport, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company and airlines to welcome groups of tourists arriving on New Year's Day.
Accordingly, at 6:45 a.m. on February 10 (the first day of Tet), flight number VN628 operated by Vietnam Airlines from Don Muong (Thailand) landed at Da Nang International Airport.
The first visitors were welcomed by a lion dance performance and special gifts from Da Nang City.

In particular, the program "Pick up the first luck of spring" with gifts of vouchers for sightseeing and entertainment spots... at tourist destinations in the city. Three lucky guests on the flight received round-trip air tickets from Don Muong (Thailand) - Da Nang by Vietnam Airlines and Da Nang tourism products.
After that, Da Nang tourism industry continued to welcome domestic tourists on flight VN157 from Hanoi to Da Nang of Vietnam Airlines, and flight JX701 from Taipei (Taiwan, China) to Da Nang of Starlux Airlines.
It is expected that on the first day of Tet, Da Nang International Airport will welcome more than 125 domestic and international flights, estimated at more than 17,000 passengers to Da Nang, including 53 international flights, estimated at about 7,500 passengers.
It is expected that the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang during the 7 days of Tet Giap Thin 2024 (from February 8 to 14) will reach 894 flights, an increase of 16% over the same period last year.
Also on the morning of the first day of Tet, Da Nang welcomed the 5-star tourist ship Dream Cruise carrying more than 1,800 tourists to Tien Sa Port to visit the city. This is the first international tourist group to travel by ship to Da Nang on the occasion of the 2024 Giap Thin Lunar New Year.
The welcoming ceremony was held at Tien Sa Port, tourists arriving from Dream Cruise were welcomed with welcoming lion dance activities, flowers and tourist souvenirs.
