On December 18, the People's Committee of Kon Tum city, Kon Tum province, said that the authorities had just reported the cause of the incident in which a group of students went to the house to beat a 6th grade female student.
According to the verification results of Kon Tum City Police, on the afternoon of November 28, T. (6th grade student, Nguyen Sinh Sac Secondary School) was at home in Quang Trung Ward, Kon Tum City when 5 students came to visit; including 4 females, 1 male, all 6th and 7th grade students.

At this time, a group of 5 students called T. out to the yard to talk. Here, the group of students continuously hit and slapped T.'s body and face. Other students standing nearby recorded the clip, along with the laughter of many people around.
At the time of the incident, no parents were home. T. suffered injuries to her thigh and was bleeding from her nose and left ear.
It is known that the group of friends beat T. because of a conflict over borrowing money. In addition, the friends said that T. was the group leader but often frowned.
According to Kon Tum City Police, the students who violated the law were not old enough to be held criminally and administratively responsible, so they were handed over to Quang Trung Ward Police for education and warning. At the same time, the school also took disciplinary action according to regulations of the education sector.
Ms. D.TH (mother of student T.) said that T. was assaulted by the same group of classmates in many other places. When working with the authorities, she also reported it but did not see any mention in the report.
According to Ms. T., the family hopes that the authorities will handle the case seriously, otherwise T. will be assaulted, seriously affecting her psychology and health.
