Many supermarkets reopen from the second day of Tet

The Ministry of Finance said many supermarkets and stores in major provinces and cities have reopened to serve consumers' needs for essential goods.

According to reports, on February 11 (the second day of Tet), in some major provinces and cities, supermarkets and stores reopened to serve the needs of purchasing essential goods, and the supply of goods will be fully met.

Previously, on the first day, most markets, supermarkets and shopping malls across the country were closed, only Aeon Mall and Gigamall were still open to serve the city's residents from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

In general, prices are relatively stable compared to before Tet. Only in some places, prices may increase slightly compared to before Tet, but mainly focusing on fresh vegetables and seafood, which increased by more than 20%,” said the Price Management Department (Ministry of Finance).

Although prices are still under control, the Ministry of Finance also requested ministries, branches and localities to continue to closely monitor supply and demand and market prices of goods under their management.

According to the Ministry of Finance, in the coming days, many activities and entertainment venues in major cities are expected to open, attracting a large number of visitors to visit and have fun in the coming days. Prices for services such as parking, food services, etc. often increase compared to normal days according to the annual rule to cover the costs for workers to work overtime during Tet.

As for some fresh food items such as fish, beef, green vegetables... it is forecasted that prices may increase slightly.
