
The activity aims to continue affirming the Party and State's attention to the role and responsibility of artisans and ethnic minorities who have made many contributions to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values; raising the sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors and cultural entities in building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
This is also an opportunity for ethnic people to meet, exchange, learn and share experiences in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups, contributing to preserving, maintaining, honoring and promoting traditional cultural values of the nation in order to strengthen solidarity among ethnic groups, build and develop a healthy and progressive cultural life.
The Vietnam Ethnic Culture Day will have the participation of more than 300 people, 54 ethnic groups from provinces and cities. Of which, there are more than 100 artisans, ethnic people from 16 ethnic groups working daily at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village: Muong ethnic group (Hoa Binh); Thai, Lao, Kho Mu ethnic group (Son La); Mong ethnic group (Ha Giang); Tay, Nung ethnic group (Thai Nguyen); Dao ethnic group (Hanoi); Ta Oi, Co Tu ethnic group (Hue); Ba Na, Gia Rai ethnic group (Gia Lai); Xo Dang ethnic group (Kon Tum)...
During the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Day, there will be many diverse activities such as: Conference to summarize the coordination work between the Village and localities (April 18); representatives of 54 ethnic groups reporting achievements, visiting President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, visiting the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace (April 19).
In addition, at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, many cultural activities will be held to introduce local heritage and culture such as: Introducing the cultural colors of the Khmer ethnic group in Soc Trang (recreating the Chol Chnam Thmay festival of the Khmer ethnic group in Soc Trang province; traditional music space and introducing and promoting tourism, exhibition of images of Soc Trang province); cultural space "Colors of Dak Lak plateau"; Ede ethnic music space; Central Highlands coffee performance space, displaying and introducing typical products and traditional crafts; cultural colors of the Thanh highlands through the cultural space of the Tho ethnic group, Thanh Hoa province...
In addition, coming to the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village on this occasion, visitors can also experience many activities of the ethnic communities that are operating daily here such as: customs, rituals, costumes, folk songs, folk dances, ethnic cuisine, traditional crafts, folk games... The Village Management Board will organize exchange activities, folk songs and folk dances with the theme "Flowers of Muong land" of the Muong people of Hoa Binh province and a program to introduce ethnic cuisine and tourism culture of the Co Tu people in the Village.
