BTO-Ham Thuan Nam District is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary (June 1, 1983 - June 1, 2023). This is a political event that the district is aiming for with many practical activities.
These days, anyone who comes to Ham Thuan Nam district can feel the joyful and excited atmosphere preparing for the big festival: the 40th anniversary of the district's founding, which took place on the afternoon of May 29. The bustling atmosphere with flags, posters, slogans... is brilliant on all the roads, streets, and alleys of the district, especially Thuan Nam town.
In agencies, departments and branches from district to commune, there are response activities taking place such as: participating in sports activities; visiting and giving gifts to war invalids, families of martyrs, people with meritorious services to the revolution... Including activities of displaying images and typical products of each locality at booths in the district hall, where the celebration takes place.
As planned, the exhibition of images and typical products of the district will take place on the morning of May 29, to review the development journey, introduce outstanding products and achievements over 40 years of formation and development of the district.
Mr. Nguyen Trai - Vice Chairman of Thuan Nam Town People's Committee said that, along with other localities, Thuan Nam Town will display fruits such as jackfruit, guava, dragon fruit, banana and other products including oyster mushrooms, salted guava chicken...
The mountainous commune of My Thanh will participate in displaying rice wine, bamboo rice, gongs, and gourd pipes. The coastal commune of Thuan Quy has registered to display marine products such as clams, oysters, etc. As for Ham Minh commune, Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Ha said that 8 products will participate, including grapefruit, dragon fruit, and wines made from dragon fruit, etc. All are being carefully prepared, with the participation of local people, gardeners, and businesses. Mr. and Mrs. Dung, a resident of Thuan Nam town, said they will bring jackfruit and guava to participate. These days, they are taking care of the jackfruit that is close to harvest, waiting to be displayed.
Along with that, the district has published the 40-year establishment and development magazine to organizations and individuals in the district. The magazine is like a gift summarizing the memorable achievements of the development journey since its establishment. Thereby reminding the sectors, localities and all cadres, party members, and people in the district to continue to make efforts to unite and be determined to successfully implement the resolutions of the Party Committee, so that Ham Thuan Nam homeland becomes increasingly rich and strong.
