Musician Duong Cam reveals his musical muse

Hong Duyen continues to reunite with musician and music producer Duong Cam in the project Du Yen. The project includes 9 songs, of which Cau Duyen is a new composition that Duong Cam wrote specifically for the female singer.

"Hong Duyen is a special case for Duong Cam. Every musician will find their own muse in music. For Duong Cam, on the musical path, although I am still very young, I have met someone who inspires me. Because Duyen's voice gives me a lot of positive aspirations. When Hong Duyen sings the products I make, it gives me the feeling of being able to do my job," Duong Cam shared about the collaboration with Hong Duyen.

According to Duong Cam, Hong Duyen is a female singer with a special voice, soft, flexible but very powerful, good vocal technique, creating a pleasant feeling for the listener.

Therefore, he was determined to renew the once-famous songs associated with People's Artist Thu Hien, famous singer Tuan Ngoc, Ngoc Son... through the voice of Hong Duyen. The arrangements have made the songs have a strong contemporary color when played on Violin, Cello, Flute, Guitar... This helps familiar songs "escape" the old sound, taking on a new look.

"Hong Duyen's voice gives me a lot of positive aspirations," Duong Cam shared.

From the time Du Yen started to complete the film, it took nearly a year. The crew had to change filming locations many times because the setting is in a place where nature and people are in harmony, fresh and peaceful.

Not only focusing on her singing, Hong Duyen also sought new ways to express herself. After a long time of thinking, she decided to record a live session of music performance with the band Background.

Hong Duyen was born in 1992 in Thai Binh. In 2015, she won the Sao Mai runner-up prize in the Folk music category. Then, in 2017, she and musician Duong Cam collaborated and released the album Duyen.

Hong Duyen is known as a prominent singer of contemporary folk music, famous for many songs such as: Gio danh do dua, Duyen, Con Duyen, Em toi, Cau Duyen...

She graduated from the Military University of Culture and Arts with a degree in vocal music and is currently working at the Military Music and Dance Theater with the rank of Captain.
