Hong Duyen is like a "gold mine"

With this music project, she continues to reunite with musician and music producer Duong Cam since the success of the album "Duyen" in 2017. "Du yen" includes 9 songs: Xuan thi, Cau duyen, Tim em trong chieu hoi lim, Qua cau gio bay, Ky niem nao buon, Nang chieu rog roc, Trang gia, Hue xua, Mua tren pho Hue. In which, Cau duyen is a new composition that Duong Cam wrote specifically for the female singer. Cau duyen , after releasing an independent MV at the end of February 2024, received positive feedback from a large number of music lovers.

With Du Yen , Hong Duyen and Duong Cam tried to renew the famous songs of the past associated with People's Artist Thu Hien, famous singer Tuan Ngoc, Ngoc Son... Duong Cam dared to challenge himself by giving the "mission" of renewing familiar songs to So Duy Anh, Nguyen Duc Minh Duong, Sy Thang, San Trinh - very young musicians in the Background band. Also participating in the mixing and arranging were musicians Nguyen Minh Tu and Duong Cam.

The arrangements have given the songs a contemporary feel when played on Violin, Cello, Flute, Guitar... This helps the 8 familiar songs "escape" their old sounds and take on a new look.

For Duong Cam, Hong Duyen is like a "gold mine" that needs to be exploited.

According to Duong Cam, Hong Duyen is a female singer with a special voice, soft, flexible but very powerful and delicate in pronunciation. With a good foundation in vocal technique, Hong Duyen seems to play with melodies, creating a pleasant feeling for the listener but still promoting resonant, high and bright notes.

There is one special thing, no one thought Hong Duyen would sing Pham Duy's music if Duong Cam had not convinced her. In this project, Hong Duyen performed Old Moon and Glorious Afternoon by musician Pham Duy. The fact that the female singer sang Pham Duy's music shows that Duong Cam has a sharp mind and broad vision. And with the concept of Hong Duyen as a "gold mine" that needs to be exploited in all forms, Duong Cam did not take any risks when he was determined to implement this musical idea.

It is known that Du Yen from the time she started working on it until it was completed took nearly a year. The whole crew had to change the filming location many times, because the setting Hong Duyen wanted had to be a place where nature and people were in harmony, fresh and peaceful. Not only focusing on her singing, Hong Duyen also sought new ways to express herself. After a long time of thinking, she decided to do a live session recording format with the Background band.

Hong Duyen was born in 1992, she was born in Thai Binh . In 2015, Hong Duyen tried to receive the runner-up prize of Sao Mai in the Folk music category. Then, in 2017, she and musician Duong Cam collaborated and released Album Vol.1 named Duyen. Hong Duyen is known as a prominent singer of contemporary folk music, famous for many songs such as: Gio danh do dua, Duyen, Con duyen, Em toi, Cau duyen...

She graduated from the Vocal Department of the Military University of Culture and Arts, and is currently working at the Military Music and Dance Theater. With many years of dedication, she currently holds the rank of Captain and has won many Gold Medals for the Theater's military cultural and artistic activities.
