On October 21, a representative of the Vietnam Education Publishing House said that this unit had just visited and presented gifts to students of Pho Rang Primary School No. 1, Bao Yen District and Ban Cai Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Bac Ha District, Lao Cai Province.

These are two of the schools in Lao Cai that were severely affected by flooding caused by Typhoon Yagi. School equipment, school supplies and property were swept away or severely damaged.

Vietnam Education Publishing House has supported each school with 25 gifts, each gift includes 1 million VND in cash for students whose families suffered heavy losses due to storm No. 3. This amount is taken from the donations of staff and workers in the entire Vietnam Education Publishing House system for students and people in flood-affected areas.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Vietnam Education Publishing House will adjust and reduce the selling prices of reprinted textbooks for grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11. At the same time, it will establish selling prices for grades 5, 9, and 12.

In addition, the Vietnam Education Publishing House also donated more than 1,500 textbooks to the two schools, worth about 25 million VND. The support activity aims to help students of the two schools overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters, quickly stabilize their lives and continue their studies.

A representative of the Vietnam Education Publishing House said that the unit is still focusing all its efforts on the task of providing textbooks to students in flood-affected areas under the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training. For these books, the Vietnam Education Publishing House will apply a 10% reduction in the cover price (equivalent to about 50% of the publishing cost).
