The members of the Destruction Council met and unanimously agreed to destroy the confiscated items.
The confiscated items destroyed consisted of 366 books, comprising 27 titles of elementary and secondary school textbooks including English, Vietnamese, Mathematics, Art, Ethics, etc., published by the Vietnam Education Publishing House. These were finished or semi-finished publications without invoices, documents, or evidence proving their legal origin.
All the confiscated items were seized by authorities from four bookstore businesses in Chơn Thành town, Phước Long district, and Lộc Ninh district.
The council members unsealed and counted the confiscated items before destruction.
The confiscated items were sent for testing and concluded to be pirated books. After unsealing and counting the items, the Destruction Council proceeded with the destruction at the printing house of Binh Phuoc Radio, Television and Newspaper.
