The lands are also evidence of the author's dense, rich, and versatile travel and living density: Tinh Tuc, O Quy Ho, Lung Cu, Ham Rong, Phan Xi Pang, Nho Que, A Pa Chai, Cong Troi, Suoi Giang, La Pan Tan, Dinh Khau Pha, Sa Pa, Thanh Nha Ho, Cua Than Phu, Cua Tung, Hien Luong, Con Dao, Ca Mau, Truong Sa...

Journalist Tran Mai Huong used to work in the Quang Tri Front, the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the Cambodian battlefield, so the shadow of war is always imprinted in his poems. However, he does not take pains to describe the fierceness, smoke, fire, bombs and bullets of war, but delves into the inner feelings of people... The author also reviews the period of fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, thereby revealing the strong vitality of the Vietnamese people and humanity in difficult times...

Talking about his new work, journalist Tran Mai Huong confided that he wanted to express his own feelings about the country, the Fatherland, and the people, which are extremely sacred and great, but also very close and specific. He feels and writes about the Fatherland through each land and the faces of the people he has met.

He chose the poem “On the top of Ngoa Van” as the title for the entire collection of poems because Ngoa Van is a relic associated with the Buddhist Emperor Tran Nhan Tong, a genius leader, national hero, great cultural figure and thinker, “a life that spanned many generations.”

From here, his philosophies spread to future generations: "Defending the country is not only by swords and spears/ Easing the people's strength is a strategy for thousands of years."
