(CLO) On the afternoon of February 20, in Hanoi, the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) held a press conference to introduce the Art for Climate Program - Ha Long 2025 (Art For Climate Festival Ha Long 2025).

This is a special cultural and tourism event, held for the first time in Ha Long city (Quang Ninh) to raise awareness and actions of everyone about environmental protection and climate change response globally.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Vu Minh Ly - Deputy Director of the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication said that at the COP26 Conference, nearly 150 countries committed to achieving net emissions of "0" (Net Zero) and Vietnam is also one of the countries that have taken timely actions with the strong commitment of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Immediately after the conference ended, the Prime Minister approved the project on tasks and solutions to implement the results of COP26; approved the national strategy on climate change and at the same time, provided an overall roadmap to realize the committed climate goals. To solve this problem, the Vietnamese Government issued a legal framework to synchronously implement solutions.

However, to achieve this ambitious goal, organizations and businesses will play the main role in implementing it with the State’s creative guidance. “We will have to synchronously orient solutions, promote carbon markets, transform green technology models, circular economy, and mobilize international resources to accelerate this process,” Mr. Ly said.

In that context, Art For Climate Festival Ha Long 2025 is a combination of art activities and environmental protection activities with global influence while honoring and promoting the world natural heritage value of Ha Long Bay, thereby attracting domestic and international tourists, especially high-end tourists.
