Ms. Valerie (55 years old), a French mother, is passionately looking for her Vietnamese biological mother for her 9-year-old daughter Thylia - the little girl who was left at the Central Maternity Hospital ( Hanoi ). Behind the journey of 'mother looking for mother' for her child is a touching story.
In her house in the suburbs of Paris, Valerie lives happily day by day with her 9-year-old adopted daughter. However, in the heart of the French mother, there is still a flame of hope to find her child's biological mother.
The child of the year…
The mother has kept her daughter's adoption papers carefully for nearly a decade, hoping that one day they will be the key to help her daughter find her roots. That day could be today.

"She often asks me why her biological mother didn't keep her by her side and left her in the hospital. Sometimes it's out of curiosity, wondering if she has any brothers or sisters. I have two adopted children from Vietnam, Thylia's adopted brother has information about her biological parents but she doesn't and I want her to find her roots and answer all the questions in her heart," said Valerie about her decision to find her biological mother.
According to the records she provided, Thylia's Vietnamese name is Nguyen Thi Huong, born on August 19, 2015 at the Central Maternity Hospital. The birth certificate lacks information about both parents. In the hospital's abandoned child confirmation report made in September 2015, it is clearly stated that on August 18, 2015, the mother declared herself as Bui Thi Phuong, born in 1981, with an address in Sub-zone 2, Mai Chau town, Mai Chau district (Hoa Binh).
"After giving birth, the mother left the hospital, leaving her child behind and since then no relatives have come to visit or pick her up," the minutes stated. After that, the girl was taken to Social Protection Center IV (Hanoi) for care. In November 2016, the girl was adopted by Ms. Valerie, living a new life in France. To her, her adopted daughter was a gift, something special. She did everything she could so that her daughter could grow up in love and happiness.
"I am proud to be Vietnamese!"
Thylia shared that she is extremely happy to live with her adoptive mother. However, she also hopes to find her biological mother. The girl thinks that maybe because of difficult circumstances, her mother left her in the hospital, hoping that she would have a better life. "I am proud to be Vietnamese!", the girl shared. Commenting on her adopted daughter, the French mother said that Thylia is an active girl, has a strong personality and is very good at studying. She is good at gymnastics. "Her dream is to grow up to be an Olympic athlete or an astronaut. I am really proud of my daughter!", she added.

Master - architect Do Hong Phuc (living in Ho Chi Minh City), who is famous for supporting cases of foreigners looking for relatives in Vietnam, has helped Valerie and her mother in this search journey. Mr. Phuc said that with the information in the adoption file and the widespread support of social networks, he hopes to soon receive information about Thylia's biological mother via phone number 0979.283.523. "Huong's mother, your daughter is very happy now, don't worry! But it would be great if she found you and could know her story. If you read this article, please contact us," the French woman said.
Adoption records remain, with scant information about Thylia's birth mother.
Having visited Vietnam many times, Mrs. Valerie was extremely impressed by the hospitality and friendliness of the Vietnamese people. She hopes to return to Vietnam with her daughter in the near future, when she has found her daughter's biological mother. For the mother and daughter, it will certainly be an unforgettable journey back home. Source: https://thanhnien.vn/nguoi-me-phap-tim-gia-dinh-viet-cho-con-gai-9-tuoi-185241208230615255.htm
