These days, thousands of domestic and international tourists have come to the Independence Palace (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) to visit and take souvenir photos.
In particular, many people lined up to check in next to two historic tanks: T59 tank (serial number 390) and T54B tank (serial number 843). These are two artifacts of special historical significance, recognized by the Prime Minister as National Treasures in 2012.
Sharing with the reporter of Health & Life Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (36 years old, living in Binh Duong) said: "I came here to feel and see with my own eyes the place that marked the sacred moment of the nation. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, I want to save memorable images in front of the Independence Palace".
From early morning to late afternoon, the area in front of the Independence Palace is always crowded with people and tourists visiting and taking pictures.
Many people choose to wear ao dai printed with bronze drums and red flags with yellow stars to show national pride to record memorable moments.
Schools in Ho Chi Minh City also organize for students to visit the Independence Palace during these days as a special history lesson.

On this occasion, the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) is scheduled to take place at 6:30 a.m. on April 30 in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 13,050 people.
