Fishermen caught a sailfish weighing 200 kg.

Today, February 2, Mr. Tran Viet Nam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Gio Hai Commune (Gio Linh District) confirmed that a fisherman in the area caught a giant sailfish while fishing at sea.

The person who caught this big fish is Mr. Bui Dinh Khoi (born in 1981, residing in Village 4, Gio Hai Commune, Gio Linh District).

This swordfish is over 3m long, has a belly width of about 80cm, and weighs 200kg when placed on the scale. The fish's body has 2 colors: white and black.

Mr. Khoi said that after bringing the fish to shore, he sold it to a trader for 16 million VND.

Previously, at 5:00 a.m. on February 1, Mr. Khoi and 3 crew members were fishing in the area of ​​Con Co Island, about 40 nautical miles from shore, when they discovered a large marlin caught in the net.

It took him and his colleagues a lot of time and effort to bring this fish to shore to sell to traders.

Hearing that Mr. Khoi caught a huge swordfish, many people gathered to watch.

Previously, in 2021, Mr. Khoi's boat also caught a 550kg marlin. He then sold the fish to a trader for 22 million VND.
