Going back in history, in 1972, the fight between our army and people against the campaign to retake Quang Tri town was extremely fierce. Bo De School became one of the fighting posts of our army and people.
After 81 days and nights of devastating bombs that destroyed almost the entire Quang Tri town, Bo De School is one of the few remaining structures that have been preserved to this day.
Currently, the Bo De School relic is one of the 7 component relics of the "Quang Tri Citadel and places commemorating the 81-day and night event in 1972" relic, ranked as a special national relic by the Prime Minister according to Decision No. 2383 QD-TTg dated December 9, 2013.

Bo De School relic is located on Tran Hung Dao street, in Ward 3, Quang Tri town, about 15 km southeast of Dong Ha city (Quang Tri province capital), about 1 km southwest of Quang Tri ancient citadel.
Bodhi School was built by the Quang Tri Buddhist Association in 1959, through the movement of donating Bodhi rice from fellow Buddhists and the people.
The painful memories of a time of bombs and bullets on the battlefield, the great loss that Quang Tri land had to endure, still exist.
The walls were riddled with bullet holes, the floors and roofs were mottled with bomb marks...
Bodhi School has 2 floors, along the path to the 2nd floor are placed many flower pots, mainly porcelain and cacti.
After 81 fierce days and nights, Bodhi School is one of the few remaining structures that have been preserved to this day. The relic is currently located in the middle of a residential area.
The existence of Bo De School relic has become familiar to the people of Quang Tri City. Tourists can freely enter and exit if they want to visit the school when they have the opportunity to visit Quang Tri.
