(Dan Tri) - The weather in Hoi An during the 30/4-1/5 holiday is quite hot and sunny, but it still attracts a large number of tourists to visit and have fun.
According to records, in the first days of the 5-day holiday, thousands of tourists flocked to visit Hoi An ancient town (Quang Nam). The time tourists choose to visit the ancient town is usually in the late afternoon, at this time although the air is still quite hot, the sun has also set and it is cooler. The main streets in the old town such as Tran Phu, Bach Dang, Nguyen Thai Hoc... are packed with tourists. Many shops attract tourists to shop, eat and drink, especially the beverage shops. Ms. Tran Thi Tra Ngoc (27 years old, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said that this is her second time coming to Hoi An, this year's holiday her family chose Hoi An - Da Nang as the place for the whole family to visit and relax. "Hoi An has a very special ancient feature, the people are friendly and sociable. In particular, the prices here are quite affordable," Ms. Ngoc shared. Cyclo and boat services on the Hoai River attract a lot of tourists to experience. "Foreign tourists when visiting Hoi An really like to sit on a boat on the Hoai River, both to have beautiful souvenir photos and to see the old town from a different angle. Besides, releasing flower lanterns on the Hoai River to pray for peace and luck is an activity you should try," said Ms. Le Thi Hong (a boat rower on the Hoai River in Hoi An). According to assessments, this year’s holiday, Hoi An welcomed fewer domestic visitors than in previous years. However, Hoi An is still an attractive destination for foreign tourists. Tourists from European countries, Korea, India, etc. choose Hoi An as an attractive and alluring destination. A representative of the Hoi An City Center for Culture, Sports , Radio and Television said that on April 27 and 28, Hoi An had about 12,000 tourists buying tickets to visit, of which foreign visitors accounted for about 85%. To serve tourists and the community during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, Hoi An ancient town will host many unique cultural and artistic activities such as a street music exchange program taking place on the evening of April 28 at 31 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street and at Kazik Park on the evenings of April 29-30; a traditional musical instrument concert throughout the evenings of April 27 - May 1 at 6 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street... In addition, activities that take place regularly during this occasion include Quang Nam folk singing classes; craft village activities, traditional craft performances; instructions on making weather dolls and drawing Japanese masks; and Vietnamese folk games.
