Upgrading Huong Khe power grid after flood

The power grid of Huong Khe district (Ha Tinh) suffered nearly 700 million VND in damage due to floods. After temporary repairs, the specialized sector is focusing on developing a plan to upgrade the grid, ensuring safe and stable power supply.

From October 28 to 31, 2023, heavy rain occurred in Huong Khe district, causing flooding and landslides in many locations, seriously affecting the power grid infrastructure.

According to statistics from the professional sector, in Huong Khe district, 6 locations of medium voltage power poles were recorded to have collapsed and 2 locations of medium voltage power poles were tilted in the communes of Loc Yen, Huong Lam, Ha Linh, Phu Phong, Huong Xuan...

Floods caused many electric poles in Huong Khe district to fall.

For the low-voltage grid, floods also caused 8 low-voltage poles to collapse, 13 low-voltage poles to tilt, and 122 low-voltage poles to crack and break.

In addition, 2 transformer stations were eroded by floods, including: Khe Tho transformer station (Ha Linh commune) and village 8 transformer station (Gia Pho commune)... The total damage to the professional sector is estimated at nearly 700 million VND.

For the cracked and broken low-voltage power poles, the electricity sector has quickly erected bamboo and wooden poles to temporarily repair them; for the collapsed and tilted medium and low-voltage power poles and transformer stations at risk of landslides, the electricity sector has reinforced and supported them, prioritizing the supply of electricity for people's daily life...

Upgrading Huong Khe power grid after flood

Huong Khe Electricity workers erected bamboo and wooden poles... to temporarily supply electricity to the people.

Mr. Pham Luong Trung - Director of Huong Khe Electricity said: "After the flood receded, the unit mobilized 100% of its staff and workers to conduct a general inspection, reviewing each power line and transformer station in the entire area to count the damage.

On that basis, the unit proposed that Ha Tinh Electricity Company develop a plan and arrange resources to quickly upgrade, repair and replace damaged equipment on the grid, ensuring the grid operates safely and stably.

It is expected that the resources to renovate the power grid in Huong Khe district this time will be about 1 billion VND.
