Within the framework of the NextGen Connectivity Summit 2025 held from April 15-17, 2025, network operators, equipment suppliers and experts shared about new trends in the current telecommunications market.
At this conference, Viettel representative said that 5G is not only to provide to end customers but also needs to find new business models according to current trends.
Experts say that 5G-A (5G Advanced) combined with AI (artificial intelligence) is creating a wave of comprehensive innovation in telecommunications - from redefining smart services, reshaping user experience, restructuring terminal devices, to re-architecting highly automated network operations.
This symbiosis will open up opportunities for double-digit growth in data usage and revenue per mobile subscriber for operators. 2025 is the first milestone of the Mobile AI era, marking the shift from human-to-human connection to intelligence-to-intelligence connection.
As data traffic explodes and demands from AI applications increase, traditional network architectures are facing limitations in efficiency, cost, and flexibility.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam, wireless product and solution expert of Huawei Vietnam, said that Huawei solves this challenge through a portfolio of innovative solutions deployed according to scenarios, aiming to achieve the goal of "Most with Least" - maximizing technology at minimal cost, specifically optimizing the network in terms of capacity, performance and experience, minimizing cost and deployment time.
Experts believe that when AI becomes widespread in the telecommunications industry, the transmission network will not only be a data transmission system, but will become a platform for automation, smart services and real-time analytics.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Wang Jiaxing, Huawei's Asia-Pacific data communications product expert, emphasized that the future network will also have the ability to calculate and make decisions, providing intelligent support for digital services.
Transport network solutions focus on ultra-high throughput, ultra-low latency, and end-to-end service awareness to help operators scale, reduce costs, and improve network performance.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, a service solution consultant at Huawei Vietnam, affirmed that data is being awakened by AI and the world is entering an unprecedented era of intelligence with AI. In the future, AI will elevate data to become a strategic asset. The volume and quality, speed and efficiency of data processing, can all be exploited to their full potential by AI.
Therefore, mobile applications and cloud services will require intelligent storage infrastructures that can understand and analyze data in real time with high performance.
With this vision, Huawei is taking the lead in building intelligent storage infrastructure, flexible scalable architecture to serve the entire data lifecycle – from AI model training, to inference acceleration, multi-domain analytics, to long-term data storage.
Huawei expects its comprehensive “5G-A and AI” strategy to contribute to building a fully connected and intelligent Vietnam. Through innovation, Huawei will help telecom operators transform from infrastructure providers to smart experience providers.
The journey towards “Mobile AI” will not only be about leading in speed, but also about simplicity, intelligence and sustainability.
