On social media on June 11, Rafael Nadal was one of the first to congratulate Novak Djokovic on his record 23 Grand Slams.

"Congratulations on this amazing achievement," Nadal wrote on Twitter , just minutes after Djokovic beat Casper Ruud in the Roland Garros final. "23 is a number that was unthinkable just a few years ago. You did it. Enjoy it with your family and team."

Nadal did not attend Roland Garros this year due to health problems. The victory over Ruud helped Djokovic claim a record of 23 Grand Slams, one more than the "King of Clay". That is considered the most prestigious record in tennis. Minutes after Nadal congratulated Nole, a series of other contemporary tennis players also had kind words for the Serbian tennis player.

"Congratulations on the title and the new record," Carlos Alcaraz, Djokovic's defeated opponent in the Roland Garros semi-finals, wrote on Twitter . Alcaraz will lose the world number one ranking to Djokovic, according to the updated ATP rankings this week.

Stan Wawrinka, Denis Shapovalov, Francesco Cerundolo and women's singles champion Iga Swiatek also shared their status on social media, saying Djokovic is the greatest legend in tennis. Women's tennis player Victoria Azarenka praised Nole for having the greatest mental strength among athletes in the world.

Retired players like Juan Martin del Potro, Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Andy Roddick have similar thoughts on Nole's greatness. "It's hard to put a number against Djokovic being the greatest," Roddick shared. "If you still want to argue about it, it's based on personal feelings, not statistics. Congratulations on 23, it's crazy to think that a player can do that."

If he wins Wimbledon and the 2023 US Open, the Serbian will become the first player to win four Grand Slams in the same year since Rod Laver in 1969. "Congratulations to Djokovic on his 23rd Grand Slam victory," Laver wrote on Twitter . "His skill and mental toughness on all surfaces are incredible." Not only Laver, other legends such as Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova also praised Djokovic on social networking sites.

Djokovic's third title at Roland Garros also made him the first man to win at least three Grand Slams, and the oldest man to win at Roland Garros - at 36 years and 20 days. By returning to the number one spot, Nole also extended his record of 388 weeks at the top of the world.
