According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from early morning on October 16 to the night of October 17, there will be moderate to heavy rain from South Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh with rainfall ranging from 50-100mm, some places over 150mm. On the night of October 17, heavy rain in Quang Binh and Quang Tri will increase. Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam will have heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 150-350mm, some places over 500mm.
In addition, on the day and night of October 16, the Central Highlands, the South and other places in the South Central region will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall of 30-60mm, some places over 100mm, thunderstorms concentrated in the afternoon and night.

The North and Central Central regions from the night of October 17-18 will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms. From October 19, heavy rain in this area will gradually decrease.
Other areas have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, especially on October 18 there will be moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some heavy rain.
At sea, in the next 24 hours, the low pressure area will move slowly in the West Northwest direction and may strengthen.
Today and tonight, the sea from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa archipelago), the middle and South East Sea (including the Truong Sa archipelago) will have showers and thunderstorms. The sea in the southern Gulf of Tonkin, the sea from Binh Dinh to Ninh Thuan, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 7-8.
In addition, on the day and night of October 16, the northern sea area of the North East Sea will have strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, and waves 2-4m high. In the Gulf of Tonkin, strong northeast winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, and waves 1.5-3m high.
