Social media has been spreading information shared from a post by a parent on October 6, announcing the loss of contact with a student in Ho Chi Minh City. The post has received hundreds of shares on social media.
Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , the author of the article, Ms. Le Thi Bich Thao - the aunt of student Le Thi Minh Thu (born in 2008) - updated that as of the afternoon of October 9, the family had not been able to contact this student. After inquiring more from friends, the family still had no more clues about where Minh Thu had gone.
According to her family, Le Thi Minh Thu is a student at Nguyen Van Linh High School (District 8). Her family has not been able to contact her since the afternoon of October 4. When she left, she was wearing the school's gym uniform, a blue-black plaid jacket, and riding a blue Sirius with license plate 93B1-812.46.
"She didn't show any unusual symptoms before. It wasn't until last Friday that she finished her physical education class and didn't come home. The family is extremely confused right now," said Bich Thao.
Minh Thu's family said she is living with her parents on Binh Tri Dong Street, Binh Tri Dong A Ward, Binh Tan District. Thu's parents work for a family business.
The family said they have contacted authorities in District 8 and Binh Tan District but so far have had no information about this student.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Si - Principal of Nguyen Van Linh High School - confirmed that Minh Thu has not been to school since October 4, 2024. The school has received information from the parents and is supporting to provide more information.
Mr. Si added that Minh Thu is currently studying in class 11C7. The homeroom teacher is also following up on new updates from the family.
